Concerts in the Park

On December 21st MFBC hosted "Welcome the Krampus" to celebrate the winter solstice. This evening was created to raise funds for the Concerts In The Park - Hope BC who do a fantastic job bringing the Hope Community together in the summer with their Friday evening summer concert series.

A number of Hope stores stayed open late and those who came for a photo were prompted by the MFBC door elves to go and check out the shops on Wallace.

Lindy's Earth Enchantments shared that Dec 21st was their most profitable day since they've opened and others expressed the desire to collaborate as a group on future projects.

This event attracted Global BC. Unfortunately the story was not an online feature but it was briefly shown on 3 televised broadcasts. If anyone has a recording of the segment-I'd love to see/share it! The Hope Standard featured the event as well! Thanks Kemone Moodley!

The MFBC is very proud to announce that 47 groups of "weirdos" came to the shop and 2 more bonus contributions came in for a total of $1019.65 raised!

Sam and Naomi from Concerts in the Park are drawing up the donation paperwork to start the new year of fundraising!

I'd like to thank Kat Harvey for her time and effort photographing the events of the evening. I know a number of folks who attended the photo session are very eager to get their photos. Kat has assured me that she has started the editing process and that having a little patience will be rewarded. Having seen a couple photos myself I can assure you that these are going frame worthy photos and a very special treasured keepsake.
